Leadership Maryland Legacy Fund
The Leadership Maryland program cannot be successful unless it draws applicants from all constituencies and all areas of the state. Many individuals (or the companies/organizations they represent) find it difficult to pay the tuition to participate in the program. For this reason, Leadership Maryland seeks to avoid incremental increases in its tuition so that all qualified candidates may be able to afford to participate.
In 2003, the Leadership Maryland Legacy Fund was created to maintain tuition at an affordable level. The Legacy fund, and more importantly the interest income it yields, helps ensure that we continue to have participants from all regions of the state, representing diverse professions and various ethnic backgrounds.

Nancy Minieri Scholarship Fund
The Nancy Minieri Scholarship Fund was established in 2013 to honor Leadership Maryland’s founding President & CEO upon her retirement. Unlike the Legacy Fund, the purpose of this scholarship funds is to provide financial assistance in perpetuity. The funds provide an ongoing, restricted income stream that ensures the organization’s long-term sustainability by providing scholarships for generations of Maryland leaders.
