Maryland Leadership Workshops

Maryland Leadership Workshops, a program of Leadership Maryland, offers multiple peer-led programs that empower and inspire middle and high school students to succeed, and be more engaged in their schools and communities. Each program offers a supportive and fun environment to foster increased independence, self-esteem, and confidence for a diverse group of students from around Maryland, the country, and even internationally.
MLW's summer residential programs allow middle- and high-school students to immerse themselves in all aspects of leadership. MLW delegates discover and develop their own unique strengths in daily workshops, practice their leadership skills in team projects, and are mentored by our skilled staff to find their passion, their voice, and their path.

MLW also offers outreach programs for schools and youth organizations. If you are interested, contact us.

“I was first introduced to Maryland Leadership Workshops the summer of my Junior Year by my Charles County Association of Student Councils advisor, Mr. Pete Mann. I had just been elected as the new CCASC president and he thought it would be a great experience for me. Boy was he right! Through innovative leadership activities and engaging group challenges, I was able to interact with both peers and MLW staff to help develop my own unique leadership style, one that I’ve been able to apply throughout my personal life and professional career. I truly experienced the 'MLW Magic' that summer in Chestertown, MD, and returned the following summer as MLW staff to help empower other teens, like me, to be the leaders they wanted to be in their own communities. My MLW experience offered me a strong, solid foundation to grow into the leader I am today. I am proud to be an MLW alum!”
