Continue your learning journey by participating in Leadership Maryland’s Executive Master Series. This program takes an in-depth look at major issues facing Maryland and allows participants the opportunity to invest more discussion time and to talk through issues and potential solutions in a small group setting. Each year, up to three unique series will be offered, each focusing on a different topic. Applicants will choose which series (topic) to join for the year.
How it Works:
How it Works:
- Program Capacity: Up to 20 participants will be accepted into each of the three series.
- Series: One topic per series with up to three concurrent series running in the same year.
- Topics for 2026 are Economic Development, Housing, & Education.
- Sessions: There will be five one-day sessions in each series: Kickoff, three working sessions around the state, and Closing Retreat.
The year will start with a kickoff session to produce a list of subtopics related to the main topic of the series. From this list, the group will decide what to focus on during the program. The next three sessions will be in different locations with a variety of speakers. The closing retreat will be dedicated to the next steps as a cohort, consolidating the thoughts of the group. - Process: Each session will be guided by a facilitator and will include a variety of speakers.
- Commitment: All are encouraged to commit to full participation throughout the duration of the program. This level of commitment will help ensure the cohort can learn all they can, not only from our presenters but from each other as well.
- Tuition: $1,975
Breakfast and lunch on session days will be included with tuition. There will be an optional dinner for participants the evening prior, which will be Dutch Treat. - Travel: Participants will be responsible for their own travel to and from sessions and during session days as necessary.
- Hotels: Participants who chose to come the night prior can opt to stay at the hotel where we will have a group block reserved. This is optional but highly recommended.
- Application: Applying is simple. No essays, application fees, or interviews. There’s just a quick form to fill out.
- Selection: Diversity will be considered when putting together the cohorts. Priority will be given to Lifetime Members and those who apply early.
Outcomes: To be determined by the group, but could take the form of a consensus opinion piece for public consumption, a position document for consideration by legislators and executive staff, and/or a plan to address a specific component of the issue.
