Dr. Freeman A. Hrabowski III ’93 has been named one of Time magazine's Top 100 Most Influential People. Dr. Freeman, the longtime president of the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, was recognized for his trailblazing work in educating minority students in the sciences and catapulted the university onto the national stage.
Betsy Nelson '05, who has led The Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers (ABAG) since 1990 has announced that she will step down as President by the end of 2012.
Alexander Sanchez '10 has been appointed Chief of Staff for Baltimore City Mayor Stephanie Mayor Rawlings-Blake, effective May 16.

Tom Loveland ’04, founder and CEO, announced that his company, Mind Over Machines, was featured in "CTOs at Work," cited as some of the “best minds in the technology business” by the authors of the “CTOs At Work” book series. Additionally, Tom has been invited to represent the tech community on the Baltimore Industry Roundtable, by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond.

Michael E. Hough ‘10 has been promoted to CEO of Susquehanna Bank’s Maryland division where he will lead operations in Maryland, West Virginia and parts of Pennsylvania. He was previously the division’s president.
